NSFW: Words of Wisdom & A Charcoal Question

I had an msn conversation with my older sister the other day (the one who recently got married). She told me something very important.

She didn’t judge me when I told her we slept together [1]

She listened.

But she said…

just don’t get pregnant

I couldn’t agree more. I don’t want to get pregnant yet. Naturally, I do want to have a baby eventually if God wills it, but definitely not now.

In fact I have a question for anyone who knows.

If a man is wearing a condom but …. inside you, can you still get pregnant? Does anyone know if that is safe, even if they are still wearing protection?

[1] – Don’t worry, I just need to get the hoo-haa out of my system. Sorry if these posts are annoying but I am curious!

  1. I would suggest that you start to look into your options for birth control. Double the protection won’t hurt. Sex should be enjoyed, and once you cover “all” the bases, then there’s not much to worry about and you can have fun. So enjoy!

  2. nonoxynol 9 spermicide increases risk of HIV transmission so it’s not reccomended for use.

if he cums inside while wearing a condom and the condom does not slip off the risk of pregnancy should be low. i would recommend that he secure the condom immediately after ejaculation to ensure that it does not slip off or spill.

  3. It is pretty safe to use a condom, once it is used properly, from first contact, meaning once his member comes near your vagina is should be covered, not a few dips with the condom then, half way put it on ( I say this cause I’ve found out that lots of people figure once the condom is on when the guy ejaculates then it’s safe sex).

Pulling out is not that reliable cause sperm cells are contained in pre-cum, and the guy must have super control to pull out before he even starts to cum.

If you are still worried about getting pregnant even with proper condom use, then double up with another method eg. the pill, iud etc., spermicide can sometimes cause burning or itching.

    • Lol at “a few dips.” That’s a pretty accurate description.

You’re right with the spermicide, it can cause discomfort, so it’s good to experiment with different kinds.

    • A condom is 99.9% safe but there is always a chance. Bianca gave great advice about using another method like birth control. Remember, condoms do not prevent against all sexually transmitted infections (stis) like herpes. Its a good idea to go get tested for STI just in case.

  4. It is almost 100% effective. Of course, there is always a small chance. It helps if you put spermicide both inside and outside the condom. You can make him pull out as well, if it makes you more comfortable. And add a diaphragm or cervical cap, lol.

    • LOL, A, I like your methods because adding them all on top makes it more like 100% ha!

I didn’t know about the spermicide thing. It is something I will have to do more research from.

I just don’t want to get pregnant from having sex with this guy.

  5. It’s not 100% safe, but much much much safer than nothing at all or him pulling out. That’s actually the entire point of a condom, so he can *finish* inside without much fuss. As long as the condom is latex (which very few these days are not) and it’s used properly, all should be well. Get yours girl! *wink*

    • @La Bella Noire, why is it more safer than him pulling out? Sorry for the millions of questions but it has been a while since I have done this so I have questions.

      • Pre-ejaculate sperm… what comes out of the male (sometimes even before hes climaxed) is the most “potent” in its ability to pregnant you. There is also a lot of room for error in the “pulling out method” Don’t trust it!
