Are you having a laugh ?
Just as a finished writing the Blended Thoughts post, I went on Youtube to listen to the Maroon 5 & Rihanna track. So imagine my horror (expected of course) when I read this comment:
Stop the colourism! Stop the hate! This is such an inflammatory statement. Unfortunately, still the norm. The worst part of this comment is the assumption that the ‘real dark ones’ are automatically ugly & the myth that black men are absent fathers.
Jesus. What the hell is wrong with some people ? This is such a horrible thing to think. I am convinced that these people need to be reprogrammed like robots to stop spreading their complexes to other black people.
I give up on them as of now.

The anonymity of the Internet seems to bring out the ugly in some individuals. I think people purposely make silly comments on You Tube just to get a rise out of people.

lol! Aulelia I am not offended by that comment its bold. I prefer people who are upfront with it then those who are preaching dark skin is beautiful yet they will tell you in minute that you shouldn’t wear green t-shirts or flah a big smile.
I do know of a chick who doesn’t want to have babies with her boyfriend, she was bold enough to say that she doesn’t like the texture of his napps because its too tightly curled and his nose. But the sex is too good . it goes both ways IMHO.

@lechatnoir - boldness is not better. Racism is racism is racism. There were times when people were allowed to be bold…and blacks hung dead from trees. I would rather not go back to that time, thank you.

There are a lot of dark skinned black women who look so good, that they are a treat. I have seen very beautiful dark skinned girls walking on the road and men just staring at them. The music like the fashion is afraid of real women.

@lechatnoir, no offence to the girl you know but she obviously ails from colourism. sex is sex. it doesn’t matter who does it - when it is good it is good. it is dangerous to pick partners based on what shade of black they are. it is ridiculous!
