Opposition in Zimbabwe claim “Win”

Zimbabwe’s opposition party claimed an overwhelming victory against President Robert Mugabe in yesterday’s presidential election, saying that the flow of results showed its candidate, Morgan Tsvangirai, had ‘massacred’ the ruling Zanu-PF party.

Travel Or Save…?

My part-time job at the moment is helping me to save. I don’t know whether I will be able to afford an extravagant holiday by any means but I hope to save to at least be able to do something. I am stuck between two choices: 1) travel 2) save for a car.

The travel aspect is definitely drawing me! I don’t count going to Tanzania as travelling because it is my home and I go back there regularly. However, I would like to go somewhere else. Here are the destinations that I am most drawn to:

1) New York: I have been there before and I enjoyed myself. If I was going to go there this September, I would be going for a shopping holiday because the prices in New York compared to England are bloody cheap! The prices for a return from London to New York are very good @ the moment at £350! That is incredibly cheap. I really do want to go and my friend really wants to go too.

2) Barbados: I love this island. For more reasons than one! My sig. other is from there. When I was at the travel agents, they said I could do a round trip from London - New York - Barbados for around £615! Which is an insane bargain for 25 days. Really good price seeing that it averages to £307 for both destinations. I would be inclined to do this option as it would mean I get to go the US & the West Indies.
